I often wonder if wikipedia is ran by mentally challenged people? This one is proven to be true. Here is a perfect example.

Will any serious encyclopedia company ever hire a ridiculous clown looking like a clown to be their administrator or editor? Can this person dress like a clown if he works for microsoft or google? Certainly not. So you know the quality wikipedia has.

It seems that wikipedia’s mentality is really only at elementary school level, those OCD administrators constantly give each other stars as if they are still in elementary schools. Wikipedia itself is a giant elementary school while obsessed with pornography.

Wikipedia is obsessed with penis, free erect penis pictures for everyone to see!

It seems that wikipedia has a fascination with penis! yes, that is right. It is really free pornography for everyone! There is no age requirement, as long as the kids know how to type the word penis on that page, they will be able to see plenty of real life pictures of penis soft and erect! Can you imagine if those pictures were shown on TV or magazines, or textbooks, angry parents will certainly file plenty of lawsuits against whoever did that. But on wikipedia, it is open for early sex education.

Not so long ago, it even had a real picture a elephant penis! You sure can’t find that anywhere else.

Wikipedia is officially full of errors. No one should use it any more.

Who else is using wikipedia as reference these days, hardly anyone. Now it is just a site where losers and OCD administrators have crazy times together. Each day, it creates more and more wikipedia administrators with Obsessive-compulsive disorder. It is running 24 hours a day, so they feel the need to get on there as often as they can. Seriously, if they are so devoted, why don’t they quit their minimum wage jobs and go to africa, and help those people there? That is much better than wasting electricity and causing more ozone damage to the earth.

As it attracts more and more OCD patients, that site’s quality is deteriorating fast! There is probably no courts will use anything people find on wikipedia as solid evidence now.

In such a short time, there were three different answers. Neuroscience is not a new subject that just appeared yesterday. Whatever mammillary body’s function is, you should be able to find it in a real neuroscience book. Didn’t those OCD administrators claim that wikipedia is as accurate as those real encyclopedias, since they spend 24 hours a day on it? Where are the experts that are editing wikipedia? mm, guess they all got pissed off or banned by those Obsessive-compulsive disorder administrators. Only people who know nothing about neuroscience are editing those serious scientific articles. You, too, can make an important discovery now, if you go change its function to “male erection”. Certainly, there is no requirement for educational background check, a six-year-old kid can edit this article if s/he wants to.

What if you were using wikipedia for your serious academic study or exam, use it to write a serious academic paper, then you are screwed.

That is the reason why no one is using it for serious reference any more, because you never know the thing you read on there is correct or wrong. So next time, save yourself some time, read something else other than wikipedia for reference.

Some really good points are being made here. I feel like there are A LOT of people on Wikipedia are not really there in order to make useful contributions to anything. Some of these people called themselves “administrators,” while others are just random people who appear to spend 60 hours a week on there. Since they are so obsessed with Wikipedia, a normal person with a job has a hard time ever winning anything against these people.

It is really disturbing when you work really hard on an article only to find that some outside person wants to get into a big editing war with you. I don’t have any problem with this when I am aware that the person has put some effort into the article. But you are right when you point out that a lot of them just want to get involved in petty little fights.

It is also unfortunate that few of these people are really interested in making compromises. Although I have not personally run into Gogo-dodo, I understand what you are talking about 100%.
